Program

The Ion Channels & Immunity Program at NYU Langone is a new center dedicated to the research of ion channels and transporters in immunity. Our goal is to understand the basic mechanisms by which ICTs regulate the function of immune cells and immune responses in infections, tumors, and autoimmune disorders.

Core Facility

Our electrophysiology core facility, named IonLab, facilitates research on ion channel function in immunity. It will be available to all investigators at NYU Langone Health and other New York City-based institutions regardless whether they have prior experience in measuring ion channel currents and fluxes.

Symposia

On 9/11/20 the SPG 2020 Ion Channels & Transporters in Immunity, Inflammation & Antitumor Immunity symposium took place as a virtual event. On 12/3/2018, the first international Ion Channels & Immunity symposium took place at NYU Langone. Leading scientists from academia and industry talked about their latest research, and pre- and postdoctoral trainees presented posters on the regulation and function of ion channels in cells of the immune system.
